Does the price include the camping site’s pitch fees?

No, you book and pay for this separately once you have checked BellaKernow has availability of tents to hire.

What sort of pitch do I need?

Preferably a grass pitch, rather than hardstanding, which is on firm, level ground with the grass cut short. When booking a pitch please allow for the overall ‘footprint’ of the bell tent which includes the guy ropes all the way around. This adds a minimum of 1 extra metre either side. The footprint of a 4m tent is approximately 6m, a 5m tent is approximately 7m.

Can I hire BellaKernow to set up on our own property?

Yes, we welcome private venue bookings. This is perfect solution for glamping birthdays or creating an extra room for guests to stay.

Do BellaKernow set up and dismantle?

Yes, our standard hire includes the set up and dismantling of all our tents.

Do BellaKernow offer a one night price?

Our tents are subject to a minimum 2 night hire price and 3 nights over a bank holiday. A day tariff is available if the bell tents are being used for day time occasions such as children’s parties.

Are the bell tents waterproof?

Yes. All our tents are deluxe bell tents. They have zipped in ground sheets which are thick and durable and have a raised lip at the side to ensure no leaks if pitched on ground that doesn’t drain easily. The tents have been “weathered” also, a process which allows the canvas fibres to tighten and bind together.

From what time is my bell tent available on the day of arrival?

All booked bell tents will be fully erected by 2pm on day of booking (unless otherwise arranged due to site access allowances).

Why do I need to pay a damages deposit?

Every booking is subject to a £100 per tent fully refundable damages deposit. This is in case of any major damages to the tent or furnishings. If there are no major damages, this will be refunded back to you within 10 working days of your hire finish date. However, if there is any substantial damage to the tent and/or furnishings, you may be required to pay the difference if the £100 does not cover repair costs.

What is your cancellation policy?

A non-refundable 25% deposit is due at the time of booking with the balance being payable 28 days before the commencement of the hire period.

Are pets allowed in the tents?

Unfortunately, pets are not allowed in any of our tents except guide dogs.

Is smoking allowed in the tents?

Our tents are strictly non smoking.

What bedding should we bring?

Depending on what package you opt for, you may or may not need to bring your own bedding.

If you prefer to bring your own, we recommend bringing the following with you: duvet, pillows and a blanket or throw to keep you warm and cosy if the nights are slightly chilly.

Do the bell tents come with power?

Not as standard. Power can be added upon request for an additional charge. Please check your campsite has electric hook-up options available.

Do the bell tents come with lighting?

Depending on the package, some bell tents come with fairy lights which have an automatic timer setting. Each string of fairy lights has 200 bulbs and provides plenty of illumination. Camping lanterns are also available.

Can heaters or stoves be provided?

No unfortunately not due to insurance regulations. We do however offer a cooking accessory pack which includes a double camping stove and gas supply to be used outside the bell tent.

Are your tents warm?

All of our furnished tents are designed to make you have the most comfortable glamping experience possible, rugs, thick duvets, extra blankets and throws. We do recommend you bring warm layers as well, depending on the time of year/weather forecast.

What camping extras do you have available?

We have a variety of extras available. If you have something specific in mind that isn’t shown on our tariff, please do get in touch to see if we can provide it.
